The Pat Whitehouse Show
The late Pat Whitehouse (1922-1988) combined 3-D images, projection techniques and sound to make her world famous slide shows truly spectacular. The views include stunning close-ups, pictorial renderings of the Hallelujah Chorus, and breathtaking wildlife photography. This album contains 3 ViewMaster reels of Mrs. Whitehouse's images. We recommend listening to the Hallelujah Chorus while viewing the 3 7 image reels.
Mrs. Pat Whitehouse was named by the UK's Stereoscopic Society as their "Stereographer of the Century". They said, "...Whitehouse's creative output was considered to be clearly in a class of its own, whilst the simulative effect of her personality added further to her unassailable position...".( Stereographer of the Century, April 2000, J of 3D Imaging, Volume 148, p. 4).
Some of Pat Whitehouse's bird images were used in the Weetabix giveaway 3D viewer in the 1950s which was a strong influence on Brian May of Queen fame's interest in 3D. He also developed the Owl viewer we offer.
